CereCore is seeking a Data Analyst – Senior Level to join our team in Nashville, TN or 100% Remotely. As part of the Accelerated Technologies Data Products Team, the Senior Data Analyst is responsible for development and support of clinical data assets in the form of business logic developed using SQL and other tools.  This position requires working with cross-functional teams to translate business and clinical needs into actionable data assets. A willingness to obtain a wide range of data subject-matter expertise will be necessary to develop and implement clinical data requirements in this role.

The successful candidate will spend considerable time analyzing clinical and related business data to identify potential areas of improvement and developing implementation strategies for improving data quality and data standardization.  This position requires extensive exposure to a healthcare environment in a data-intensive setting. Success in this position also includes building strong working relationships with business partners, project team and other ITG teams.  Additionally, the successful candidate will possess a balance of technical and people skills.


Responsibilities 
  • Performs extensive clinical and operational data analysis, creates documentation of data issues, and develops implementation strategies for improving data quality and data standardization.
  • Ensure clinical data is presented in proper context with business requirements
  • Coordinates information requirements from business partners, project teams, and other ITG teams to provide assessment of usefulness, reliability, and cleanliness of data from various systems.
  • Participate in requirements validation and feasibility analysis with respect to data products
  • Create high level and detail design specification that will enable and support troubleshooting activities.
  • Creation of requirements deliverables for data products
  • Estimate work effort required in delivering data products.
  • Accurately report issues and status to leadership.
  • Possess experience with and actively promote different phases of testing (unit testing, integration testing, performance testing).
  • Possess excellent communication skills to interface with various stakeholders from business consumer to technical staff.
  • Be incorporated into development teams from design to deployment of enterprise services.
  • Research and become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the interaction of the product with source systems as well as interaction with the business users.
  • Build and support BI tools for analysis in support of data products/solutions.
  • Mentor junior members of the team
  • Create, lead, and promote troubleshooting activities.
  • Be a data subject matter expert for assigned products/applications/models.
  • Work on assignments involving the use of various technologies both old and new.
  • Work as part of a team and work independently.
  • Lead the performance of simple, moderate and complex troubleshooting / maintenance assignments within the department.
  • Establish and meet due dates.
  • Provide after-hours/on-call support as needed.
  • Resolve simple to complex production support issues.
  • Build strong relationships within department and with other project team members.
  • Identify and implement ways to improve how and what we develop.
  • Take ownership of responsibilities, working individually or with teams to accomplish goals.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Required. 
  • 2+ years of healthcare data experience required. 
  • 7-10+ years of SQL and data analytics experience required.
  • Advanced Google BigQuery experience
  • Qlik Sense or other BI tool experience required.
  • Strong understanding of multiple relational database systems (BigQuery, Teradata, SQL Server, Postgres, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of multiple programming languages. Python experience preferred.
  • Able to manipulate, analyze, and visualize data from different source systems.
  • Able to design and develop scalable solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements
  • Able to effectively facilitate diverse groups of people in a problem-solving environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven leadership skills working with diverse and complex projects.
  • Detail oriented and analytical with good organization skills.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize multiple activities and tasks simultaneously and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong problem and issue resolution experience and create quality deliverables.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with individuals at various levels within the organization.
  • Highly motivated and be able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Strong understanding of product support principles.
  • Ability to train team members on existing and new analytical concepts.
  • Able to identify dependencies and mitigate risks across multiple products.
